A bouquet of fruits with your own hands – an original gift for the holiday-Care

An original novelty in the world of gifts today is a fruit bouquet. It looks not only unusual, but very impressive! The combination of flowers, seasonal and exotic fruits, berries makes it amazing and appetizing. And most importantly – it’s two in one! After you are handed such a bouquet, flowers decorate the house, and edible items go to the table. True, the price of such a ready-made bouquet “bites” a little, but making it with your own hands is very simple and not at all expensive. Especially if you are planning not one such bouquet, but several at once, for example, by the 8th of March. You can create a bouquet of fruits together with your children – this unusual gift is so easy and entertaining to perform.

What do you need for a bouquet of fruits?

Basic “needs”:

  • flowers;
  • small apples;
  • skewers 25-30 cm long;
  • wide scotch tape;
  • scissors;
  • wrapping;
  • twine or braid for tying the legs of the bouquet.

This is the foundation. Here it is important to choose what will be in the spotlight – necessarily small (to medium), neat, defect-free apples, preferably with a tail. Any flowers that match the color – a sprig of small-flowered chrysanthemums, roses, carnations – whatever!

Be sure to have a wide adhesive tape – a wide one holds such a bouquet better (I have an adhesive tape about 5 cm wide). Wrapper. The only rule here is that it should not be transparent. It can be ordinary wrapping paper, it can be paper with an interesting pattern, newspaper – whatever you like! And something that will fix it – I chose the twine.

This set-base will already become an original bouquet, but you can diversify it! Add lemon, lime, small tangerine, small orange, feijoa, grapes, plums, viburnum, rose hips – whatever is available in your market or grows in your garden!

In my case, the choice fell on the following minor additions:

  • lemon + cling film – we will wrap half a citrus in it;
  • grapes;
  • plums;
  • feijoa.

Everything is mine! Of course, we will erase the protective layer from fruits and berries, but washed them will look more elegant.

Making the basis for a fruit bouquet

The base of my bouquet will be apples. They can be of any color. The main thing is their integrity and the presence of a tail. And in my case, a lemon.

You can take as many apples as you like. But I like small bouquets, with the addition of different berries, so I only take three. And it’s easier to wrap such a bouquet with wrapping paper, and bring it to the right place, which, you see, is important. Some of the apples can be located in a bouquet with their nose up, and one, for example, with their tail up. This makes the bouquet more fun.

Prerequisite: each apple must be chopped into three skewers. Not two, not one, but three. In this version, the apple is stable and there is no fear that at the most inopportune moment it will fall out of the bouquet.

Lemon can be added to the bouquet as a whole, or you can cut it in half for a variety of texture. If you chose the second option, cut the lemon into two halves and wrap it in cling film, carefully pulling it from the cut edge to what will be hidden in the bouquet. We prick the workpiece into two skewers.

The apples are ready – put them together with skewers and fix them with tape. Add lemon and fix again. At the same time, we do not regret the adhesive tape – the bouquet should hold well!

Filling the bouquet

Now we fix additional elements. I have it plums. Here, too, do not spare the skewers. Plum is a rather juicy fruit and rather heavy; it is better to take at least two “legs” per plum. Again we take scotch tape and attach the plums to our base of the bouquet – apples.

Now even finer filler. I have this feijoa. Here you can plant the fruit on one skewer, the flesh of the feijoa is soft, but the skin is very dense, and it will hold well on one skewer. But in order not to risk it, I will still plant each berry by two. We insert the berries into the bouquet and fix it again!

And finally, grapes. You won’t need a lot of it – just a few berries per skewer. I took three. Gently cut from the bunch, so that, as far as possible, a long twig remained. And she attached this remainder of the twig with tape to the skewer. We insert the grapes into the bouquet and, if necessary, secure with tape.

There are still flowers. They can be placed on the side of the composition. In this version, apples and berries will be thrown into the eyes, first of all. Individual branches can be inserted into the bouquet. Here – as anyone likes!

Fruit bouquet wrapper

And finally – the wrapper! For wrapping a fruit bouquet, it is better not to take a very large sheet of paper, but cut off a rectangle measuring 50×70 cm.If you took more than three apples for your composition or, due to additional fruits, it turned out to be quite voluminous, then two or three rectangles of paper will be used.

Fold the envelope with a cone. We insert a bouquet into it. We tighten the sheet so that it hides all our wooden legs and fix the wrapper with twine. If suddenly, when wrapping, the edge of the sheet is torn somewhere, it does not matter, in this case, the twine can be wound wider and hide the defect.
