Drinking honey at a temperature in an adult

Is honey possible at a temperature for an adult? The answer to this question is yes. Natural honey is traditionally used in folk medicine for various colds. These include seasonal diseases caused by viruses – acute respiratory infections, acute respiratory viral infections, influenza, bronchitis, tracheitis, pharyngitis. All of these ailments are accompanied by an increase in body temperature in a sick person.

Also, honey will not be superfluous for bacterial infections. It complements drug therapy by helping in the elimination of pathogens and strengthening the body’s defenses.

Is temperature evil?

An increase in body temperature is a normal reaction of the body to the invasion of foreign microorganisms.… Exceeding the standard temperature indicators promotes phagocytosis – the destruction of infectious agents by the immune system.

It is for this reason that doctors do not recommend bringing down the temperature with antipyretic drugs to a mark of 38-38,5 degrees.

However, even a slight increase is accompanied by poor health due to intoxication – the body suffers from the rapid multiplication of viruses or bacteria, disrupting its normal functioning.

This is where the intake of natural antipyretics like honey will be appropriate. This bee product is active against bacteria and viruses. In addition, it is a diaphoretic. It also helps to flush out toxins.

Honey at a temperature of 38 can and should be consumed internally by both an adult and a child, if a person does not have an intolerance to the bee product. Its reception is not prohibited even with higher thermometer readings.

Hyperthermia (temperature above 39) is dangerous, as it leads to dehydration, thickening of the blood, impaired blood pressure, and malfunctioning of all internal organs. It doesn’t matter at how many degrees the honey was eaten or its solution was drunk. It will still fulfill its functions – it will cause profuse sweating, normalize the production of food enzymes, and remove the waste products of viruses.

We remind you that in children under one year old, thermoregulation is in an immature state… Therefore, an indicator of 37-37,5 degrees may be a variant of the norm. Of course, in this case, the baby should not have signs of a viral infection – cough, runny nose, redness of the throat.

Benefits and healing effect

use

Natural honey has many advantages over preserves, jams, which contain sugar. It:

  • quickly absorbed, easily filtered by the kidneys;
  • does not irritate the digestive tract;
  • quickly releases the energy the body needs;
  • has a sedative effect on the nervous system;
  • strengthens the heart and blood vessels;
  • normalizes metabolic processes;
  • enriches the body with microelements and partly vitamins (varieties from forbs obtained in high-mountainous and ordinary meadows, in forests and in forest clearings are especially useful);
  • provides bactericidal and antiviral effect;
  • promotes the restoration of body cells.

Important! Honey is not administered by inhalation at very high temperatures, as well as emphysema, heart failure, bronchial asthma, tuberculosis.

Tea or water solution?

Honey water solution is recommended as a tonic and prophylactic agent. And teas with honey products are real medicines that provide good sweating and temperature reduction.

Aqueous solutions and herbal decoctions

solution

Simplest water solution recipe:

  • a glass of chilled boiled water;
  • 2 teaspoons of honey product.

The tool is taken at night in 0,5-1 glass. It regulates the intestines, has a calming effect on the nervous system, activates the body’s defenses. With this method, honey is absorbed as quickly as possible.

Rosehip recipe:

  • glass of water;
  • a tablespoon of dried fruit;
  • the same amount of honey product.

Fruits are poured with boiling water, infused for 10-15 minutes, filtered. The infusion is kept in a dark place for another 10-12 hours. Then honey is stirred in it. Adults need to drink two glasses of the product a day. The infusion is a rich source of vitamin C.

Tea must be drunk correctly!

Drinking tea with honey at a temperature is also useful. This is a real remedy that relieves health in case of febrile conditions. However, the advice “to drink hot tea”, which grandmothers often give, is harmful!

At temperatures above 40 degrees, the destruction of plant antibiotics – phytoncides occurs. And boiling water turns the honey product into an ordinary sweet delicacy, in which there are almost no useful biologically active substances.

Tea with honey at a temperature can be drunk with the addition of a lemon wedge. This will help make up for the lack of ascorbic acid and enhance the antiviral effect.

To preserve all the medicinal properties, honey must be eaten with a bite. First, a small dose of the bee product is absorbed in the mouth until it is completely dissolved in the amount of 1 dessert or tablespoon. And only after 15-20 minutes it is washed down with warm (not hot!) Tea.

Non-hot tea will be beneficial for at least three reasons:

  • it will not irritate an already sore throat;
  • the healing properties of honey will not be affected;
  • at a high temperature (above 38,5-39), the general condition of the patient will not worsen.

As for the type of tea, it can be:

  • green or black tea from the store;
  • any suitable herbal tea.
  • Of the herbs, you can recommend:
  • linden blossom (accelerates sweating);
  • young shoots of raspberries (just like the berries of a plant, they perfectly reduce the temperature);
  • chamomile flowers (provide an anti-inflammatory effect, normalize the digestive tract);
  • flowers of coltsfoot (traditionally recommended for any cold);
  • mint herb (recommended for flu, has a beneficial effect on the stomach).

Teas preparation takes just a few minutes… A tablespoon or dessert spoon of raw materials is poured with 200-250 milliliters of boiling water, covered with a lid and insisted for 10-15 minutes. Filtered, cooled to 40-45 degrees. Add a slice of lemon or its juice, as well as honey (it is preferable to dissolve it in your mouth in advance). And then they drink the drink in small sips.

General conclusion: you can drink honey at a temperature in the form of an aqueous solution or a solution on a decoction of herbs, raspberries, cranberries, rose hips. You can also eat honey at a temperature in pure form, slowly dissolving it in your mouth. And then, after 15-20 minutes, wash it down with warm herbal or ordinary tea.

If you have an intolerance to bee products, you cannot fight the temperature using the listed methods! We’ll have to use antipyretic pharmaceutical drugs, as well as herbs that provide increased sweating – linden blossom, young shoots and raspberries.
