Features of the treatment with bee dead

Dead bees are a little-known medicinal product of beekeeping, the benefits of which are not known to all beekeepers. It represents insects that have died naturally.

Popularly, this name is most often associated with ready-made medicinal tinctures or ointments. Their effectiveness in relation to certain diseases of the human body is extremely high, which determines the popularity of dead bees in folk medicine and apitherapy.

Where does the podmore come from

In any bee family there is a constant change of generations. In summer, worker bees live on average one to two months. In winter, life expectancy is longer – up to four to eight months.

In the summer, it is very difficult to collect bee dead for treatment. Dead insects are immediately taken out of the hive by their own brethren. Or an old bee leaves the nest on its own to die outside of it. But if you want, you can still get the product using slate or plywood.

The main collection of this medicinal product is carried out by beekeepers in early spring during the revision of overwintered families. A small number of dead insects can also be obtained by monthly cleaning of the entrances during the winter months. Or in the summer, by holding special collection events.

There is a fairly original and convenient way to collect dead insects. It consists in the following: beekeepers spread clean slate in front of the entrances or lay plywood or a wooden board on the ground. After the first flyby during the spring cleaning of the hive, the insects themselves throw out dead wood. All that remains is to collect it and send it for storage.

Note for novice beekeepers: slate or plywood can be used, among other things, to combat the grass that overlaps the notch in the summer. Not a single weed stalk will break through such an obstacle – you will not have to mow around the hives.

In the same way, dead insects are collected in the summer. Although this is usually not done by beekeepers due to the complexity of the task at hand, it is still possible to agree on the collection privately and for a fee. After all, insects often die in drinking bowls or with a possible attack on a family of other bees. This is the highest quality and freshest pomegranate.

What you need to consider

If during the active summer period a large number of insects die and the fact of an attack by thief bees is excluded, this indicates the presence of any disease in the families. Although bee diseases are not dangerous for humans, it is still not worth using such a beekeeping product for medicinal purposes.

For alcoholic tinctures and ointments, an exceptionally fresh product is recommended that does not have an unpleasant odor or signs of mold.

Moreover, summer podmor is much more valuable than winter:

  1. In the cold season, insects die without emptying – some percentage of feces is necessarily present in the bodies. They are not dangerous to humans (until science has proven the harm of this impurity in tinctures or ointments – after all, bees feed exclusively on honey). But in fact, summer bees will be cleaner and healthier.
  2. In autumn, the nests are treated with tick-fighting agents (for example, “Bipin”). This drug also partially gets into tinctures and ointments along with the bodies of insects collected in winter or spring. And in summer, beekeepers use special plates for prophylaxis or do not carry out anti-mite measures at all during the honey period.

It follows from this that the winter podmor obtained in spring is best applied externally. And for ingestion, it is preferable to use a pest of insects from the summer generation.

Collection and storage features

For treatment, most often used are insect bodies collected during a spring revision or a special summer collection. The resulting product is carefully sifted through a fine sieve to separate all debris and small particles of wax (they also settle at the bottom of the hives). Large debris is manually removed from the sieve.

dead bees

Dead bees are dried at a temperature not exceeding 45 degrees. For this purpose, you can use an electric fruit dryer purchased in your home kitchen. Natural drying is carried out in a dry and warm place away from direct sunlight.

After that, the podmor must be collected in a canvas bag and placed in a cool dry place or immediately used for its intended purpose for preparing the medicine.

Periodically, dry pestilence is monitored for moisture and the presence of pests (sometimes a wax moth is introduced into this product during long-term storage). Such a spoiled pomegranate is not even used for the preparation of ointments.

Beesworm treatment

The dead bodies of the once active and very hardworking insects contain a lot of trace elements useful for humans. The product contains a lot of calcium, iron, aluminum, sodium, chromium, boron, zinc and phosphorus.

But the main therapeutic effect is achieved due to the presence of a chitin derivative – chitosan, as well as melanin, amino acids, peptides and bee venom.

All of the above complex of active ingredients provides a powerful antibacterial and antiviral effect. And chitosan has hemostatic and wound-healing properties, while acting as an analgesic.

Dead bees are an excellent tool for strengthening the immune system, cleansing and protecting the human body. High-quality podmor contributes to the neutralization and elimination of toxins, provides an antioxidant (rejuvenating) effect on the human body.

Here are just some of the positive effects of using this beekeeping product:

  • strengthening of blood vessels and normalization of blood pressure;
  • tissue regeneration;
  • activation of the body’s immune defense;
  • withdrawal of radionuclides (antiradiation effect);
  • bowel cleansing and removal of heavy metals;
  • improving the synthesis of vitamins in the intestines;
  • normalization of the kidneys and thyroid gland.

Treatment of dead bees will be effective in a number of serious diseases, for each of which there is a separate recipe for the preparation of a remedy.

Most often, alcohol or vodka tinctures, water infusions and decoctions, as well as various ointments are used in apitherapy.

An important point: the chitin derivative contained in the sea is very poorly soluble in both water and alcohol (vodka). For this reason, dead insects must be thoroughly ground in a coffee grinder, blender or pestle before being used for medicinal purposes.
