Secrets of the treatment of osteochondrosis by bees

Osteochondrosis is a degenerative disease of the spinal column, manifested in changes in the structure of cartilage and bone tissue. Intervertebral joints lose mobility, bones become less dense, and cartilage becomes elastic. This pathological condition leads to infringement of the nerve roots in different parts of the spine and the occurrence of pain.

Traditional therapy for this disease includes the use of pain relievers and anti-inflammatory drugs. Beekeeping products have similar properties.

Apitherapy suggests using propolis, pollen, honey, as well as bee venom in the form of stings for the treatment of osteochondrosis. These bee products help relieve inflammation and pain syndrome, strengthen immunity, and improve the functioning of all body systems.

Bee venom

The composition of bee venom contains melittin, which has all the properties of the steroid hormone cortisone, but at the same time surpasses it in its anti-inflammatory effect. Adolorin is also responsible for suppressing the inflammatory process and pain relief. And the biologically active component apamine accelerates blood circulation in the bite area, providing a warming and improving metabolic effect.

All of these properties make bee venom one of the best folk remedies used in the fight against osteochondrosis. It should be understood that in advanced cases, apitherapy cannot completely eliminate the disease, but is only an addition to traditional treatment.

To strengthen the muscle corset around the spinal column, restore damaged bone tissue, physical therapy, massage and correction of the entire lifestyle are required. Only an integrated approach to treatment will lead to the desired result!

Противопоказания

Bee venom is a biologically active compound that can cause an allergic reaction. According to statistics, five percent of the world’s population suffers from it.

For this reason, a test therapy session should be performed before starting treatment with bites. For this, one bite is carried out in the area of inflammation, the sting is kept in the skin for no longer than 10 seconds. The next day, blood and urine tests are taken. If no deviations are found, a second bite is performed, but the sting has been held for one minute. The tests are also repeated.

If no allergies or changes in the composition of blood and / or urine are found, you can proceed to the main treatment.

An absolute contraindication is:

  • pregnancy;
  • the period of breastfeeding;
  • oncology;
  • exacerbation of chronic diseases;
  • heart, hepatic, renal failure;
  • infectious diseases with an increase in body temperature;
  • impaired blood clotting;
  • tuberculosis.

Treatment technique

Treatment of osteochondrosis by bees is carried out according to two schemes. Bites are performed at acupuncture points or in the projection area of the inflamed nerve on the back or neck.

Insects are planted at selected points using tweezers. The sting lasts up to 10-15 minutes, after which it is removed and a light massage is performed along the spinal column. Upon completion of the procedure, the patient feels a pleasantly spilled warmth in the zone of exposure to the poison, and the pain gradually goes away.

The treatment regimen is selected individually. This can be a daily increase in the number of stings during the course. For example, on the first day, one bite is performed, on the second two, and so on.

A safer technique is stinging with an interval of one day, that is, sessions are held every other day. It all depends on the individual sensitivity to poison and the patient’s well-being during treatment. A positive therapeutic effect is observed after two to three sessions.

Treatment of cervical osteochondrosis

Bee venom, injected into the cervical spine, leads to the expansion of capillary vessels, which helps to remove slag deposits and improve metabolic processes at the cellular level.

Treatment of cervical osteochondrosis by bees is also carried out in two ways:

  1. Bites are performed in the area of acupuncture points. You can see them in the figure below.
  2. Or stinging is performed in the area of especially painful points found on palpation at the beginning of the session.

Don’t worry if the sting misses the mark! Treatment with poison will still be successful – the active ingredients penetrate into the deep layers of the skin and reach the spine.

Usually, three to four sessions are enough to improve your well-being. During this time, the patient’s general condition improves markedly.

Bee treatment results

Complex apitherapy leads to good results:

  • the mobility of the neck and other parts of the spine is restored;
  • headache goes away;
  • endurance increases and fatigue disappears;
  • numbness of hands and other unpleasant symptoms pass.

The average duration of treatment with “live” bee venom is 5-7 days. The exposure of the sting is from 5 to 10-15 minutes.

In the process of therapy, areas of redness of 0,5-1 cm in size appear on the body – this is a normal reaction of the body in the current of the bite. Such redness can persist from one hour to two to three days, depending on the thickness of the subcutaneous fat.

Pollen intake and massage

In addition to the stings, a gentle massage of the neck and back using honey or propolis ointment is recommended. Massage leads to the elimination of toxins by increasing the blood supply to the area around the spinal column.

Inside, pollen is taken – 0,5-1 teaspoon three times a day before meals, and honey – a tablespoon twice a day, regardless of food.

Propolis and honey

Eases the condition during exacerbations with a compress on a sore spot made of warmed up natural honey. Smear the affected area with honey, cover it with linen and wrap it up. The compress is left overnight.

You can add aloe leaf gruel to the application… For this, 50 g of the crushed plant is mixed with a tablespoon of honey. The application is fixed in the area of inflammation with bandages or a plaster and left overnight.

The application of rolled propolis balls is also effective.… The resulting plates are attached to the body with an adhesive plaster and left for 2-3 days.

The success of treatment is largely determined by the age of the patient and the degree of neglect of the disease. The earlier apitherapy is started, the fewer sessions are required for a complete cure or the onset of noticeable relief.
