Succulents. Pictures at an exhibition – care

Succulents are interesting, delightful plants in their own right. And if you put them in boring containers and group them, you can get a wonderful composition.

Three exhibitions with succulents, photos of which are presented here, were part of the “Gardens for Small Spaces” group of the garden exhibition of the Northwest of the USA.

As you can see, anything was used as containers – galvanized buckets, wooden boxes, large glass vessels, old metal tool cases, coffee cans, pots …

Succulents

There were so many, so many different plants that one had to stand for a long time and slowly examine each element of the composition.

Amazing variety of plants! I would like them all for my garden! Our winter, however, is not mild enough for many of them. Some have to be brought into the garage, but they do not really like it there.

I really like the container in the foreground:

This exposition was called “More Lush Life”

This is another exposition “The door to the garden is always open”. Well, it’s all old. The checkerboard stands on a galvanized bath. And what about the bath, do you know? Spinning device after washing? And what about the milk can with the sakulent hair?

And even something grows on the lampshade!

The third exposition, which received the prize for the best planting material.

The expositions included in this group were intended to show how small spaces can be decorated with plants – small gardens, verandas, porches, balconies, etc.

The next two pictures show the trend of recent years – vertical gardens. Saculents are great for them.

All other photographs were taken in the booth of Smith & Hawken, one of the companies supplying goods to retail. They did not participate in the exposition competition, but simply introduced visitors to their products.
